Drop in to talk to the team, see the platform, or ask the awkward questions you would save for a demo call.

Hewitt Roberts, CEO of Certainty Software, is speaking at Safety Connect 2026.

The panel: why most safety software does not stick

Buying safety software is the easy part. Getting it used โ€” every shift, at every site, by people who did not choose it โ€” is where most implementations quietly fail.

The pattern is familiar to anyone who has run an EHS programme at scale. A platform goes in. Configuration takes months. Dashboards get built that nobody finds usable, so the team exports to a spreadsheet anyway. Inspections get completed on paper and typed up later, which means the data describes the paperwork rather than the workplace. Corrective actions get assigned, and nobody can prove they were closed.

None of that is a technology problem. It is a friction problem, and it is usually visible within the first month if anyone is looking. That is the ground the panel covers: what separates software that gets adopted from software that gets bought.

If that is a live question where you work, come with examples. Panels are better when the audience argues.

What else is on

The programme runs across four tracks, with keynotes, roundtables and short-format sessions through all three days:

  • Technical โ€” governing AI in safety, lithium-ion battery hazards, how OSHA and NFPA 70E requirements interact
  • Leadership โ€” HSEQ leadership frameworks, influencing decision makers, scaling change without owning the org chart
  • Career Development โ€” roundtables for solo safety professionals and people moving beyond the rรฉsumรฉ
  • Edge Talks โ€” short sessions, including one on what the numbers do not tell you when they look good

There is also an OSHA enforcement and regulatory update, and a session on industrial hygieneโ€™s role in preventing serious injuries and fatalities.
